Portuguese Pod 101 presents itself as the easiest, fastest and funnest way to learn Portuguese. The website features a dynamic image and it seems to offer all the material that you’ll ever need for learning Portuguese.
From what I’ve seen, I can tell that this platform knows what learning a language in the 21 Century is all about. As well as the traditional format Portuguese audio lessons, there is also a forum and a lesson discussion. These are interactive and interesting ways of learning Portuguese. The whole approach feels very fresh.
The podcast feature of Portuguese Pod 101 is my favourite. In a world where people have less and less time to spend in front of a textbook learning a language, it’s great having the option of listening to an interesting and pertinent topic which uses daily language and colloquialism.
Is also important to mention that Portuguese Pod 101 has been featured by some of the big names such as BBC and The New York Times.
When you join this Portuguese learning website you can choose between four levels: Absolute Beginner, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The content of each level of Portuguese Pod 101 varies with the difficulty. For example, the Absolute Beginner level is more focused on small talk. After choosing your level (which you can easily change later) and entering your email you’ll be directed to a page where the website gives you the chance to choose if you want to receive the Portuguese Word of the Day in your email. Such a lovely idea, perfect for encouragement and a nice and clever way to extend your Portuguese vocabulary.
